**Primary Purpose of the Job**:
Provide legal support to QatarEnergy on debt financings and restructurings, project financings, financial security mechanisms and arrangements, treasury and general banking matters; and legal aspects of domestic and international tax and disputes with tax authorities (Banking/Finance/Tax Activities) and support on all legal risks and legal issues relevant to Banking/Finance/Tax Activities to assist QatarEnergy to achieve its aims in a lawful, effective, ethical and accountable manner.
**Required Experience and Skills**:

- At least ten years legal experience (not necessarily post-qualification) in in private practice or in-house, a substantial amount of which is in relation to Banking/Finance/Tax Activities.
- Experience of dealing with regulators and government representatives.
- Ability to assimilate complex legal matters and to provide practical advice to non-lawyers.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team player with members of the Legal Department, as well as other stakeholders.
- Highly motivated, proactive, organized, and self-disciplined.

**Educational Qualifications**:

- JD/LLB (or equivalent) degree at a recognized university.
