**OIL SPILL RESPONSE EQUIPMENT HEAD**

**ROLE**
Ensure the serviceability and integrity of the Oil Spill Response Equipment such as; Mechanical Oil Recovery Skimmers, Oil Containment Boom, Diesel Hydraulic Power Packs, Portable Pumps (Archimedes Screw, Centrifugal, Diaphragm), Outboard Motors, All Terrain Vehicles, Portable Air Compressors, etc, etc

Ensure adherence to OEM approved operating guidelines and maintenance schedules, carry out audits on maintenance management functional activities according to predetermined schedule to ensure compliance and prevention of complacency.

Ensure implementation of improved maintenance techniques and practices, following sound continuous improvement principles.

Develops and review's reliability centred maintenance, maintenance strategies for each piece of Oil Spill Response Equipment.

Assists in developing and continually reviews, Scheduled Maintenance Plans, Preventive Maintenance Plans per individual Oil Spill Response Equipment.

Implements safety policies and standards (SHERQ) and manages the safety aspects of Oil Spill Response Equipment Operation.

Assists in the development of the maintenance budget and manages the allocation for the Oil Spill Response Equipment inventory as per agreed plans; ensures the expenditure complies with budgetary parameters and promotes sound and ethical financial management practices in the business unit.

Requirements & Qualifications:

- Bachelor of Science degree from a recognized University or equivalent. / Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (Industry specific manufacturer training course experience an advantage)
- **Minimum 10 - 15 year’s Mechanical Maintenance experience in the Marine / Oil and Gas sector (Oil Spill Response Sector is a distinct advantage)** including exposure to Scheduled Maintenance Planning, Preventive Maintenance Planning, and Corrective Maintenance with at least 5 years at the supervisor level.
- Experience in maintenance and repair of light duty diesel engines particularly air cooled ranging from single cylinder to four cylinder engines (Yanmar, HATZ, DEUTZ, John Deer).
- Sound knowledge of Pumps and Pumping technologies with experience of Hydraulically Driven Archimedes Screw type Pumps
- Excellent knowledge of Hydraulic systems and principals
- Experienced in the repair of fabrics (Hot glue repair and Cold glue repair) including; PVC, PU and Neoprene
- Computer literacy and a good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Excellent written and oral Communication Skills in English (Arabic a distinct advantage).
- Good experience with Quality and Occupational Health and Safety Management concepts. (ISO 9001and OHSAS-18001 Series).
- Extensive experience in dealing with manufacturer’s representatives in the Marine / Oil and Gas sector.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team leader.
- Good adaptability to multinational environments, with wide exposure to various cultures and customs.
- Residing in Qatar with valid QID & NOC
- Will be able to join immeidately
