Opening in 2023, Rixos Qetaifan Island North will comprise a 345-key hotel, along with a souq encompassing 11,000sqm of leasing space, a beach club, a theme park, and a waterpark. The resort will boast panoramic views of the Arabian Gulf. Rixos plans to provide a platform for showcasing Qatar as a tourism destination. One of the country’s biggest draws will be Qetaifan Island North’s Waterpark attraction. The Icon Tower is the world’s highest tower of its kind, reaching 82 metres.

**Cluster PR & Communication Director**

Within the general guidelines given by the management, the Cluster PR & Communication Director is responsible for developing, implementing, and executing strategic public relations and communications plans for the waterpark, hotel, beach club and retail area in order to attract potential guests and retain existing ones as well as management of collateral, special events / promotions, social media and advertising.

**What you will be doing**:

- Develop a public relations and communications strategy, complete with goals and budget
- Craft brand stories and pitch, across a range of platforms, to promote the brand and property's presence and improve engagement
- Create/seek advertising opportunities
- Assist with crisis communication as required
- Create reports as required by the Management
- Interview, select and recruit team members
- Identify and develop team members with potential
- Conduct performance review with the team
- Constantly monitor team members appearance, attitude and degree of professionalism
- Develop, conduct and maintain all staff training programs for team members, focusing on their development needs, providing them with new skills to meet the changing needs of the business.

**Your experience and skills include**:

- Degree in Communications, Marketing, Advertising, Journalism, or relevant field
- Portfolio of proven campaigns driven
- Expert knowledge in social media, online marketing, and internet culture
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Established connections with media outlets and influential account
- Minimum 5 years of experience in PR & communication or 3 years of experience in a similar role
- Excellent reading, writing, and oral proficiency in English language
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Presentation skills is required
- Water Park experience
