**Knowledge & Qualification**:

- Diploma in Mechanical Engineer

**Role & Responsibilities**:

- To execute all scheduled (day-to-day, preventive) maintenance,
- corrective maintenance and major repairs of the equipment’s in
- order to optimize production & minimize down time for
- maintenance related development works.
- Resource utilization to comply with the operation requirements.
- Execution of Capital shutdown jobs, Breakdown and Shutdown
- jobs like segment changing, strand removal during break outs
- with minimum damage to machine, gear box changing, etc.
- Saved number of breakdowns by planning and executing
- preventive actions whenever abnormality was observed like:
- Slab turn-over device complete breakdown was avoided by total
- overhauling of all shafts thus removing the heavy bend present
- in the shaft and provided proxy lim
