Job description

Job purpose:
Ensure integrity and accuracy of all financial operations within the healthcare including strategic and operational financial planning, monitoring and reporting activities.

Main tasks and responsibilities (the position exist to perform the below tasks and essential activities)
- Establish the short and long-term strategy for the division, translate it into business plans with objectives and performance indicators and report on the progress of activities against those plans to measure success to support the achievement of PIH’s strategic objectives.
- Build and lead a motivated, engaged and competent manpower throughout the division, by setting priorities and objectives, managing performance, and providing ongoing feedback and coaching to improve performance.
- Recommend an optimum organization structure for the division in coordination with the superior and the Human Resources, to ensure efficient and effective workflow of operational processes and optimal utilization of resources.
- Collaborate with Human Resources in the development of the division’s manpower plan to ensure timely and best-of-class delivery of tasks.
- Prepare and recommend the division’s budget in alignment to the respective annual business plan and ensure proper cascading into departmental budgets.
- Hire, train, and lead a highly effective and engaged Finance team.
- Deliver both financial and cross departmental metrics required to monitor and maintain successful plan achievement. Ensure processes and systems are in place to monitor and report against these metrics and overall plan achievement
- Review monthly results with the appropriate level of the management team to enhance their understanding of the financial results and drive Operating Income improvement. Review monthly revenue reports with the billing and administration team, including insurance companies, and provide insights into financial performance.
- Ensure financial reporting is done in a timely and accurate manner.
- Ensure that all accounting and operational controls are in place to properly monitor and protect the assets of the operation. Review and monitor the design and effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting to ensure that the organization remains compliant with all appropriate accounting regulations.
- Work with the external auditors if needed, and internal auditors as per the company regulations.
- Ensure that the month/quarter/year-end closing processes and reconciliations are completed to ensure all requirements of internal controls and as per the accreditations are met.
- Manage the budgeting and forecasting processes, and partner with the CFO and Leadership team on the development of the healthcare’s Strategic Plan.
- Monitor and track all finance driven organizational objectives and develop metrics to monitor performance.
- Enhance the accounting processes surrounding AP&AR, Payroll, and drive improvement into the accounting system.
- Manage the development, implementation of and compliance to business unit policies, systems, processes and procedures, identifying potential areas of improvement, to ensure an efficient and effective operation.

Education requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in business, Health administration, Commerce or equivalent (Essential)
- Postgraduate degree in Business Administration / Finance (preferred)
**Experience**:

- Minimum 12 years of experience in Finance healthcare (required)
- 6 years at Managerial in the same level (required)
- Minimum 3 years in GCC (preferred)
Knowledge and Skills
- CA, CMA, ICWA etc. certifications preferred.
- experience of medical insurance/healthcare billing and collections work in a health system or medical practice
- Proven experience in healthcare finance management.
- Sound knowledge of health insurance providers.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
