Our client now seeks to recruit a Risk &
Governance Analyst to provide support and oversight to the Investment Department’s comprehensive risk management program including assessment and identification of risks that could impede the profitability, reputation and/or financial success.

**Reporting to the Risk & Governance Manager, this role is responsible for the following**:

- Develop a comprehensive risk management framework for the entire holding group to identify, assess and mitigate financial, operational and regulatory risks. Provide oversight of regular risk assessments and monitor the risk management process.
- Make recommendations to reduce/mitigate risk including diversification of portfolio investments and currency/interest rate exposure.
- Develop and maintain policies and procedures for risk management and governance and ensure compliance across the firm.
- Design and conduct training programs on risk management and governance,
- Monitor and report on key risk indicators and present regular reports to the board of directors.
- Respond to, and manage, risk-related incidents comprising investigations and resolutions.
- Delivering time and accurate market research on risk management related issues.
- Provide guidance on risk management considerations to senior management.
- Conduct risk management training ensuring management and employees are abreast of the latest developments in Risk Management practices.
- Research and explore relevant risk mitigation methodologies and prepare studies and presentations.
- Analyse internal operations and identify areas of process enhancement.
- Monitor performance with tracking and establish corrective measures as needed, and prepare detailed reports, both current and forecasting.
- Assess and implement new technologies and collaborate with management regarding its implementation.

**The attributes we seek for this role comprise**:

- Bachelor’s degree with a degree in Finance, Economics, Business or related discipline with a Masters being highly regarded. CFA level II / FRM / PRMIA qualification preferred.
- 3+ years of risk and strategy management experience in a financial services institution or the banking sector. Exposure to credit and investment risk is required.
- Strong knowledge for the development of risk controls associated with investments, banking, credit, and/or payments sectors (crypto a plus).
- Exposure to relevant laws and regulations including anti-money laundering (AML) and anti-terrorist financing (ATF) regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and public speaking skills.
- Proficiency in Bloomberg, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience in Visio would be a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills, cooperative, detail oriented, curious, and proactive.
- Excellent oral and written skills in English are required. Bilingual (Arabic/English) is a plus.
