An IBM Db2 12 for z/OS System administrator is an individual who have significant experience on zOS operating system, Db2 zOS system up to and including Db2 12 for zOS. This individual is capable of performing advanced tasks related to Db2 zOS installation, customization, tailoring, operation support, recovery, security, auditing and trouble shooting.

**Responsibilities**:

- DB2 for zOS System installation, Upgrade & maintenance
- DB2 for zOS System tailoring and customization
- DB2 for zOS System Performance Monitoring and tuning
- DB2 for zOS System problems trouble shooting and solving
- DB2 for zOS Environments support (Test, Quality, Production)
- DB2 for zOS System and database security management
- DB2 for zOS System and data base backup, recovery
- DB2 for zOS utilities installation & maintenance
- DB2 for zOS system Operations support
- DB2 for zOS Automation & Disaster Recovery support
- IBM Q replication administration
- IBM CDC administration
- IBM IDAA (accelerator) administration
- IBM Data base Recovery Expert administration
- IBM Security Guardium agents on zOS support
- Data sharing environment support including group buffer pools
- Share in Disaster Recovery tests
- Data base monitoring Tools installation & maintenance
- Applications performance trouble shooting
- Administration tools installation and use
- Support test, quality, production environments
- Share in Data base change requests implementation
- Support Data requirements for development and Quality
- Manage data transfer between Db2 zOS data bases and external entities
- Support coding schemas EBCDIC/ASCII/Unicode
- Share in capacity planning
- On call support (24x7) Support

**Education/Qualifications/ Certifications**:

- Bachelor's Degree, prefer with Information, Technology or computing science major.
- Professional training and certificates

**Required Skills**:

- Db2 for zOS system administration
- SMPE support
- Performance tuning
- SQL coding and tuning
- JCL
- REXX, CLIST is an advantage
- IBM system automation is an advantage
- Presentation/Training / skill transfer
- Omega Mon, query monitoring tools
- CICS, MQ, WAS for ZOS platform experience will be an advantage
- ISPF, JES2, SDSF, VSAM, JCL, REXX, CLIST, etc.
- Capacity planning
- JAVA programming experience is an advantage
- COBOL programming experience is an advantage
- CA, BMC monitoring tools experience is an advantage
- Good written and verbal English
- Good interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated and able to work independently

**Experience requirements**:
5+ year has proven working experience on Db2 for ZOS system administration, Db2 for zOS tools and utilities administration, Db2 zOS monitoring tools administration.

**Job Type**: Contract
Contract length: 12 months
