IT Officer

**JOB SUMMARY**

Responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting computer requirements of the company from software to hardware.

**MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

2. Perform monthly preventive maintenance for all PC’s and other electronic equipment like photocopiers, printers and scanners in designated area by checking the system and aspects indicated in maintenance checklist

3. Perform inventory on custodies of individual staff, particularly those who are leaving or transferring from their post.

4. Process Material Request Order for any PC or PC paraphernalia by reviewing the request, checking if item is available or not in IT Store, recommending better alternatives and take the approval of Cost Control Manager and proceed with the purchase

5. Check and maintain troubleshooting contracts with the service providers for machines like photocopiers and printers

6. Recommend and purchase additional gadgets, software or equipment to facilitate performance of the PC or to facilitate the performance of employees working with the aid of computer

8. Provide I.T. advice and recommendation when consulted by managers or employees

9. Comply with the Policies and Procedures of the company (HR, QHSE, and IMS-ISO), and that of the state (Qatar Labour Law and Qatar Ministries)

10. Carry out additional related duties and functions as advised by the manager being reported to.
