**Scope of Work**

An Internal Auditor will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity and effectiveness of the organization's internal control systems, risk management, and governance processes. The Internal Auditor will conduct comprehensive internal audits, assess compliance with policies and procedures, and contribute to the continuous improvement of internal controls.

**Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities**:
**1. Audit Planning and Execution**:

- Assess the efficiency of operational processes in the mall, hotels, and family entertainment centre.
- Develop and execute comprehensive risk based internal audit plans for the mall, hotels, and entertainment center complex and evaluate financial, operational and compliance processes.
- Verify the effectiveness of internal controls related to financial processes.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations governing the operations of malls, hotels, and entertainment centres.
- Execute internal audits in accordance with professional standards, identifying areas for improvement and providing practical recommendations.

**2. Risk Assessment and Analysis**:

- Identify and evaluate key business risks, ensuring that risks are appropriately mitigated through effective controls.
- Analyze and assess the effectiveness of existing internal controls and make recommendations for enhancements.

**3. Fraud Detection**:

- Investigate and detect any signs of fraud, embezzlement, or financial mismanagement.

**4. Compliance and Policy Review**:

- Review and ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of internal control policies and procedures.

**5. Financial Analysis**:

- Conduct financial analysis to identify irregularities, discrepancies, and potential areas of improvement in financial processes.

**6. Documentation and Reporting**:

- Prepare clear and concise audit documentation to support findings and recommendations.
- Produce timely and comprehensive audit reports for management, highlighting key audit issues and suggesting corrective actions and improvements.
- Prepare detailed audit reports outlining findings, recommendations, and corrective action plans.

**7. Stakeholder Communication**:

- Communicate audit findings to relevant stakeholders, facilitating discussions on recommendations and corrective actions.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on internal control best practices.

**8. Continuous Improvement**:

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including finance, operations, and management, to identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, regulatory changes, and emerging trends in internal auditing. Implement continuous improvement initiatives based on audit results and feedback.

**Job Specification**:

- Master’s/bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field; professional certification (e.g., CA/ACCA/CIA/CPA) is preferred.
- Proven experience in internal auditing, risk management, or related fields preferably in a retail, hospitality, or entertainment industry setting minimum [5] years' experience in auditing with experience reporting directly to an audit committee as a strong asset.
- Strong understanding of audit methodologies, risk assessment, and internal control frameworks.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and auditing standards.
- Proficient in using auditing tools and software.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with audit software.
- This Internal Auditor role is crucial for maintaining financial health, operational efficiency, and compliance of the mall, hotels, and family entertainment centre, contributing to the overall success of the business.

**Job Dimensions**:
Responsible for internal audit of the entire group with Enterprise Value circa QAR 12 billion which currently owns or operates:

- Super Regional Shopping Centre - operated by company
- 2 hotels comprising 377 keys - operated by third party under Hotel Management Agreement
- Hotel conversion project - to be developed by company
- Family Entertainment Centre - operated by company
- Regional District maintenance and operations - operated by company
