Job Description: Senior Structural Engineer - Steel Structures Specialist

Position Overview:
Key Responsibilities:

- **Design and Calculation**: Lead and oversee the structural design process for steel buildings, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, regulations, and safety standards. Conduct advanced structural calculations and analysis to optimize design solutions for efficiency and safety.
- **Procurement Strategy**: Develop and implement procurement strategies for steel materials and components, considering factors such as cost, quality, availability, and sustainability. Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials.
- **Technical and Commercial Evaluations**: Evaluate technical proposals and commercial bids related to steel structures. Provide comprehensive assessments that consider both technical feasibility and financial viability, contributing to well-informed decision-making processes.
- **Project Management**: Lead and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams throughout the project lifecycle. Collaborate closely with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution from concept to completion. Monitor project progress, mitigate risks, and proactively address any technical challenges that arise.
- **Quality Assurance**: Implement quality control processes to ensure that design and construction activities adhere to established standards and project specifications. Conduct thorough reviews of project documentation, drawings, and specifications.
- **Mentorship and Knowledge Sharing**: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members. Share expertise and contribute to the continuous learning and development of the engineering team.**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or related field).
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on steel structures for buildings.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certification preferred.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software and design tools.
- Strong familiarity with international building codes, standards, and regulations related to steel structures.
- Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex projects within scope, budget, and schedule.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Leadership skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within interdisciplinary teams.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
