**Job Summary and Purpose**:
The material inspector responsible for executing the incoming material inspector activities in co-ordination with Operations for Offshore and Marine Projects. Facilitates compliance to Integrated Management System (IMS) policies & procedures and carrying out specific projects' assignments related to establishing quality controls measures to ensure meet or exceed the customer expectations.

**Accountabilities**:

- 1. Liaise with project team to review the requirements in the project and to prepare the procedures.
- 2. Ensuring incoming materials inspections are in-line with Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) & applicable codes, standards, and project specifications.
- 3. Review the Material Test certificate based on the applicable standard and project specification.
- 4. Inspect incoming material integrity/ requirements on the materials delivered, based on the Purchase Order requirements.
- 5. Prepare the IMIR - Incoming Material Inspection Report on SAP based platform.
- 6. Ensure any discrepancies observed are recorded and reported to the project team.
- 7. Ensure non-conforming materials, rejected materials, and materials awaiting inspection are clearly labeled with status and are quarantined.
- 8. Ensure that any required corrective action is taken to enable business continuity through supply chain delivery.
- 9. Coordinate with testing laboratories for testing of raw materials to ensure product quality.
- 10. Monitor and maintain the work quality standards and help ensure that the successful coordination and satisfaction of client inspections.
- 11. Ensure storage and handling of welding consumables is per manufacturer's recommendations / specifications.
- 12. Ensure all documents, process and systems are geared towards the execution of safe, quality, and efficient productivity and in compliance with best practice, regulatory and certification standards.
- 13. Assist QSA management to prepare and achieve the section goal as per the plan, by monitoring & acting in accordance with the project KPI’s to enable achievement of the targets.
- 14. Participate in & lead section initiatives such as Quality Alerts, walkthrough, technical education etc.
- 15. Ensuring that all work under his/her control is carried out in accordance with Company HSE Management System. Which includes:

Following their supervision instructions and active participation in the HSE improvement initiatives
- Learning and following the operational and safety procedures relevant to their job
- Using the protective clothing and equipment provided and ensuring it is well maintained.
- Reporting any hazardous or unsafe conditions to their supervision
- Maintaining their tools and equipment in a safe condition and reporting any defects to their supervision
- Reporting any accidents, incidents and near misses promptly to their supervision.

**Qualifications, Experience and Job Skills**:
**Qualifications**:
Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with relevant experience in Structural, Piping and Pipeline fabrications.
Qualified Certification Scheme for Welding Inspection (CSWIP) 3.1 or AWS CWI or equivalent

**Experience**:
1. Minimum 5 years’ experience in relevant position, and field experience is an advantage.
