**Job Title**: Superintendent (Cargo and Stevedoring experience)

**Location**: Qatar

**Job Purpose (English)**:
To manage the day-to-day activities of the Port’s freight station’s operations to ensure the safe custody, security and preservation of Cargo. Ensure the effective implementation of efficient warehouse management and achieve optimal utilization and productivity with due consideration for company policies and guidelines including HSE.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Organize and manage the work of the assigned team to ensure that all work within the specific area of the activity is carried out in an efficient manner, which is consistent with operating procedures and policy.
- Provide guidance and on the job training for junior colleagues and conduct knowledge sharing to facilitate achievement of team objectives and completion of tasks in an efficient manner which is consistent with operating procedures and policy.
- Recommend training needs of subordinates and evaluate the outcomes of training courses in coordination with the concerned human resources personnel to support their overall development.
- Provide recommendations on new subordinate hires and ensure the availability of all resources required to perform assigned tasks and activities.
- Continuously motivate, support and harness warehouse team towards the goals and objectives of terminal/port as echoed in QTerminals Vision.
- Manage subordinate staff, assign work activities, monitor performance, and review results.

**QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS**

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Business, or related discipline.
- Minimum 4 years of cargo operations and stevedoring experience and at least 2 years of experience in similar position.

**Job-Specific Skills (Generic / Technical)**:

- Good knowledge about port operations.
- Proficiency in English (Must)
- Ability to work with key stakeholder through collaboration and teamwork.
- Excellent computer and Microsoft office skills.
- Strong knowledge of cargo handling and stevedoring operations.
- Sound knowledge of stevedoring and cargo handling equipment and machinery.
- Strong knowledge of relevant HSSE legislations, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Good decision-making and conflict resolution skills.
- Regulatory and compliance awareness.
- Good organizing and planning skills.
- Good understanding of Qatar and GCC culture and working environment.

**Salary**: QAR4,600.00 - QAR4,800.00 per month
