**# Act as the assigned Duty Engineer during the shift to monitor, supervise, implement and coordinate the engineering service provided to the tenant, Departments and Abdali Group and communicate with the concerned entity if required to resolve any outstanding issues.**

**# Planning and overseeing all corrective, reactive and planned preventive maintenance.**

**# Monitoring and controlling maintenance costs.**

**# Liaising with Projects/ Fit out coordinator to make sure tenant/ contractor services are up and running correctly.**

**# Reporting and assessing any technical tenant issues and advising the proper solution.**

**# Making sure all major equipments are maintained, running and serviced properly.**

**# Following up and arranging all external maintenance contracts making sure contractors are following all PPM schedules and passing off all preventive maintenance works.**

**# Dealing with emergencies and unplanned maintenance work, problems and repairs.**

**# Carrying out quality inspections on jobs and diagnosing breakdown problems.**

**# Enable energy saving solutions to provide optimum saving and maximum equipment efficiency.**

**# Respond to tenants/ contractors/ suppliers general inquires.**

**# Continually review the contractor’s construction schedule during the progress of site works with regards to Mechanical services and report to the Maint. & Engineering Services Unit Head on that mater.**

**# Manage the day to day work of the mechanical team.**

**# Ensure that the filing/logging of the mechanical documentation is undertaken in line with the project handbook and continually monitor the documentation process.**

**# Take part in risk workshops and report any risks associated with mechanical installations or general project to the Maint. & Engineering Services Unit Head.**

**# Review Contractor’s installation method statements.**

**# Review Contractor’s shop drawings against the design (tender) drawings for compliance with the design intent and return to Maint. & Engineering Services Unit Head with appropriate comments/ approval within the specified contractual period.**

**# Review contractor’s mechanical shop drawing in conjunction with the Civil, Project Control - fit out, to ensure engineering co-ordination and advise the Maint. & Engineering Services Unit Head accordingly.**

**# Prepare technical clarifications to the tendered design to suit specific on-site construction and co-coordinating relating issues with the related entities.**

**# Review Contractor’s/ developers’s mechanical services material proposals against specified technical performance requirements and advise the Maint. & Engineering Services Unit Head on the appropriateness of the proposals.**

**# Review Contractor’s proposed sub-contractor(s) associated with the engineering works from a technical perspective.**

**# Undertake general project site observation / inspection of the mechanical services works for Contractor’s adherence to the approved shop drawings and Consultant’s specification, good working practices and construction schedule.**

**# Monitor and promote health and safety on the site and record and report any breaches to the Maint. & Engineering Services Unit Head and if required stop the construction works if unsafe practices are being followed.**

**# Undertake site inspections of proposed equipment and materials as may be deemed necessary by the Maint. & Engineering Services Unit Head.**

**# Undertake prior review of Contractor’s/ developer’s proposed mechanical system testing**

**# Observe on-site piped system pressure test, air conditioning duct leakage testing and other testing that may be required during the first fix works and advise the Maint. & Engineering Services Unit Head accordingly.**

**# On a regular basis, observe mechanical system final testing and ensuring that it meets Abdali Group needs at a strategic level.**

**# Maintain on-going list of mechanical services defects for contractor’s remedial action.**

**# Attend project, site progress and any mechanical services related technical meetings as directed by the Maint. & Engineering Services Unit Head.**

**# Prepare site instructions, relating to the building mechanical services, as required and issue to the Maint. & Engineering Services Unit Head.**

**# Provide advice to the Maint. & Engineering Services Unit Head regarding any mechanical services related variation costs that may be claimed by the Contractor during the course of the works.**

**# Participate in reviewing and approving Contractor’s ‘as built’ drawings.**

**# Advise on Mechanical items that may affect progress of the works.**

**# Prepare the Mechanical monthly progress report to the Maint. & Engineering Services Unit Head.**

**# Deal with Contractor’s RFIs relating to the MEP works.**

**# Monitor quality of the Contractor’s construction installations.**
