About the role
We are recruiting for a Support Mechanic, to be based in Doha, Qatar.

As the Support Mechanic, the duty is to support the Engineers and Mechanics to conduct timely performance of all assigned scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities in accordance with the QCAA Regulations, QR Standards and procedure to the highest standards of practice to ensure safety of flight for all Qatar Executive (QE) and third party aircraft. Ensuring that all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance conducted on QE and third party aircraft is carried out to the highest maintenance standards and safety in the most productive and cost effective manner using all available resources at his disposal, being supervised and guided by an Engineer/Mechanic. Ability to perform effectively within the environment of time constraints with a high level of technical competence and professionalism, which is part of his continuous development plan.

Operational
- Perform assigned maintenance tasks under supervision, in strict accordance with the technical Documentation provided.
- Ensure concise and correct annotation in maintenance documentation, using available approved OEM/Vendor references.
- Assist the superiors and engineers in all kind of maintenance activities to enhance your knowledge, competence, professionalism and self-confidence.
- Clearly communicate with the supervising engineer status of work performed, any issues arising and provide constructive feedback/recommendations regarding any maintenance difficulties and troubleshooting.
- Assist the Engineer to adjust, align and calibrate a/c systems using hand tools, gauges, instruments and test equipment.
- Effectively plan and carry out assigned tasks by ensuring all required assistance, materials and tooling are on-hand to complete the task within the agreed timeframe.
- Reads and interprets aircraft maintenance manuals and specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components and provide recommendations.
- Adheres to all pertinent safety precautions as published in manufacturers, company and other relevant publications, as applicable.
- Ensure that removed components / parts are correctly handled, labelled and blanked.
- Continuously develop skills, knowledge, experience and efficiency.
- Under supervision, modify a/c structures, systems or components in accordance with Engineering Orders, Drawings and/or Technical Publications.
- Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.

About you
- High School Qualification / Vocational Qualification /Diploma or Equivalent (Type of Diploma Based on Role) with Minimum 3 years of job-related experience
- Ability to read, understand and implement instructions from Technical Manuals and Documents.
- Capable of determining the most appropriate tools and equipment to perform the task at hand.
- Detail oriented to ensure very high standards of aircraft serviceability and appearance.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a Team, as required.
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
- Practical outlook to determine most suitable solution.
- Good communication skills particularly in written and spoken English.
- Professional manner for interaction with internal & external customers.
- Good math skills to solve problems.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Pride in performing to the best of own ability.
