**Job Purpose**

A marketing analyst plays a crucial role in helping organizations make informed decisions about their marketing strategies and campaigns. The specific responsibilities include Gathering, analyzing, and interpreting marketing data. Preparing detailed reports on consumer behaviour, competitors' activities, outcomes, and sales. Monitoring customer bases and identifying new ones. Forecasting future market, consumer, and sales trends.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Analyzing marketing data from various sources, such as customer surveys, market research studies, sales data, and digital analytics, to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
- Conducting market research to gather information about consumer preferences, competitor activities, industry trends, and market opportunities. This may involve designing surveys, conducting trader/ customer interactions and analyzing market data.
- Tracking and evaluating the performance of marketing action plans and initiatives. This involves monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Develop comprehensive market centric product pricing strategies aimed towards new market/ customer acquisitions in regional and other international markets.
- Assist Management in preparation of Commercial Strategy.
- Using statistical techniques and modeling tools to forecast future market trends, customer behavior, and marketing outcomes. This helps in making data-driven predictions and recommendations for marketing strategies.
- Segmenting customer groups based on demographic, behavioral, or psychographic characteristics. This helps in targeting specific customer segments with tailored marketing messages and campaigns.
- Monitoring and analyzing competitor activities, such as pricing strategies, loyalty schemes/ discounts etc., and product launches. This helps in identifying opportunities and developing effective competitive positioning strategies.
- Support in preparing Annual Sales Budget and Five Years Business Plan
- Creating reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate findings, insights, and recommendations to Marketing Manager, Sales Manager and Chief Commercial Officer. These reports often include data visualizations to effectively convey complex information.
- Monitor ongoing and upcoming construction projects, competitors’ activities, supply and demand, market share, price and trends in order to keep management updated and to facilitate decision making.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, such as marketing managers, product managers, and sales teams, to gather information, align goals, and support decision-making processes.
- Utilizing marketing analytics tools, data visualization software, statistical software, and other technologies to efficiently analyze data, automate processes, and derive insights.
- Submit periodic reports to Senior and Management staff in order to have the relevant information needed to support marketing decision-making.
- Staying updated with the latest trends, best practices, and advancements in marketing analytics and related fields. This may involve attending conferences, workshops, and online courses, as well as self-study and research.
- Liaise regularly with senior business management in order to understand ongoing business activities and development.
- Assume responsibilities for those aspects of Quality and HSE management systems in own work area.
- Carry out any additional tasks as required by the Management.

**Qualification, Experience & Skills**
- Bachelor’s Degree in business or commercial discipline.
- 7+ years experience in marketing areas in the Steel Industry is mandatory.
- Well-developed professional marketing knowledge and expertise in own area.
- Well-developed knowledge and understanding of steel billet and rebar market - its structure and characteristics
- Well-developed knowledge and understanding of Qatar Steel current and potential customer base
