Job Summary

International Teacher Plus is seeking a highly qualified English Teacher for a Secondary School in Qatar. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching English Language Arts at the Middle-Secondary grade levels and be able to develop engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the UK Curriculum objectives for English Language Arts
  • Instruct students through lectures, discussions, and demonstrations, utilizing technology and multimedia resources to enhance the learning experience
  • Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods to meet the varying needs and interests of students
  • Establish a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and motivation
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives that support student learning and achievement
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to ensure student success
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in English, Literature, or Linguistics from a recognized university (UK preferred)
  • Teaching license from the UK, US, CA, AU, NZ, or ZA (due to visa restrictions)
  • Excellent English communication skills and the ability to pass an IELTS at level 7
  • Minimum 2 years of experience teaching English Language Arts at the Middle-Secondary grade levels
  • Culturally sensitive, dependable, flexible, and able to work in a dynamic environment
