About the Job

Amentum is seeking highly skilled linguists with excellent English proficiency to join our global team. As a linguistic expert, you will support U.S. military operations in the Middle East area of responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide operational contract linguist support for military operations and interpret during interviews, meetings, and conferences.
  2. Transcribe and analyze verbal communications.
  3. Scan, research, and analyze foreign language documents for key information.
  4. Supply a variety of translation and interpretation services for the target language.
Requirements:
  1. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  2. Must possess excellent command of the subject language(s) and English verbal skills; appropriate Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) proficiency level in target language and proficiency level in English based on oral and written language skills examination.
  3. Must hold a current U.S. passport.
  4. Must possess an active clearance for access to classified information.
  5. Must be willing to work in Qatar or similar locations.
  6. Must be willing to work shifts and extended hours in support of 24 x 7 operations.
  7. Must have familiarity with and ability to conduct oneself in accordance with the local culture and customs.
  8. Must undergo medical examination.
