Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Management Solutions International MSI Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems, managing engineering projects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Create and develop mechanical designs for products or systems using CAD software, conduct simulations and analyses to validate designs.
  • Project Management: Plan, execute, and oversee engineering projects from concept to completion, coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery and adherence to specifications.
  • Research and Analysis: Conduct research to identify new materials, technologies, and processes that can enhance product performance, analyze data and reports to support design decisions and improve existing products.
  • Testing and Evaluation: Develop and implement testing procedures to assess the performance and reliability of mechanical systems, evaluate test results and make necessary adjustments to designs based on findings.
  • Documentation: Prepare detailed technical documentation, including specifications, manuals, and reports for design processes and testing results, maintain accurate records of design iterations, project progress, and compliance with regulations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other engineers, designers, and stakeholders to integrate mechanical systems with electrical, software, and structural components, engage with clients and suppliers to ensure design requirements and specifications are met.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that designs and products meet industry standards and regulations for quality, safety, and performance, participate in quality control and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify mechanical problems and develop innovative solutions to address them, troubleshoot mechanical issues in existing systems and provide effective remediation strategies.
  • Budgeting and Cost Management: Estimate project costs and prepare budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and materials, monitor expenses throughout the project lifecycle to stay within budget.
  • Mentorship and Training: Mentor junior engineers and interns, providing guidance on best practices and technical skills, conduct training sessions to enhance team members' understanding of mechanical engineering principles.
Requirements
  • Experience in a specific industry (e.g., automotive, aerospace, manufacturing, HVAC) relevant to the company.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA) for designing and modeling mechanical systems.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical principles, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and materials science.
  • Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) tools.
  • Skills in managing engineering projects, including planning, execution, and resource allocation.
  • Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure project success.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address design challenges and improve existing systems.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and resolving mechanical issues in a timely manner.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for preparing reports, documentation, and presentations.
  • Ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, collaborating with engineers, designers, and other professionals.
  • Experience in mentoring or guiding junior engineers or interns is a plus.
  • Commitment to staying updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in mechanical engineering.
  • Strong attention to detail and a focus on quality and safety in engineering practices.
  • A proactive approach to identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation.
