About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cargo Security Specialist to join our team at lxbfYeaa. As a Cargo Security Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our cargo operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Security Plans: Develop and implement comprehensive security plans to ensure compliance with security legislation and regulations governing the transportation of cargo and mail.
  • Conduct Investigations: Conduct thorough investigations into security breaches, theft, and other security-related incidents, and prepare reports for internal and external review.
  • Compliance and Regulatory Management: Ensure compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements, including preparation of workflows and work instructions to adopt best practices, implementation of audit systems to ensure processes are stable, and effective communication to ensure understanding within the workforce.
  • Incident Response and Prevention: Initiate measures to prevent theft, damage, and unlawful interference of shipments, and respond to security-related incidents in a timely and effective manner.
  • Culture of Trust and Communication: Foster a culture of trust and effective communication with internal staff, customers, management, and external business partners to ensure maximum cooperation and understanding.
  • Team Collaboration and Leadership: Collaborate with the QAS Team, external stakeholders, and customers to ensure the QAS Security department is viewed as a valued source of information, and provide leadership and guidance to ensure the team is equipped to meet and exceed all security-driven KPIs.
  • Adaptability and Analytical Skills: Adapt to changing priorities based on operational needs, and utilize analytical skills to monitor performance and adjust as needed to ensure that the goals are attainable.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent: A bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field, such as security management, business administration, or a related field.
  • 5 Years of Related Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in a related field, such as security management, logistics, or a related field.
  • Command of the English Language: A strong command of the English language, both written and verbal.
  • Advanced Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Planning, Organizing, and Analytical Skills: Strong planning, organizing, and analytical skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Self-Starter and Leadership Skills: A self-starter with strong leadership skills, able to succeed in a dynamic work environment and inspire a team to take on tasks and challenges.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate effectively with internal staff, customers, management, and external business partners.
  • Willingness to Do Hands-On Work: A willingness to do hands-on work within a team environment, with the ability to energize and inspire a team to take on tasks and challenges.
