About the Role

Airswift is seeking an experienced Instrument & Control Technician to join our team based in Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the commissioning process, ensuring that all systems and equipment are properly installed, tested, and certified.

Main Responsibilities
  • Conducts construction completion checks and walkthroughs, pre-commissioning, commissioning, PSSR, start-up activities, site acceptance tests, and performance tests as directed by lead/senior commissioning engineers and advice from respective discipline engineers.
  • Maintains project scope normal operations until one month after successful performance tests as directed by lead/senior commissioning engineers and advice from respective discipline engineers.
  • Assists lead/senior commissioning engineers in completing operations readiness deliverables prior to OHC (Operations Handover Certificate) as applicable and required.
  • Supports, coordinates, and consults respective discipline engineers to ensure respective discipline technical and project scope are holistically met during construction until normal operations.
Requirements
  • Secondary education with 3 years full-time technical training.
  • At least 15 years of experience in construction commissioning and start-up of oil & gas processing and production facilities (onshore/offshore), preferably with EPIC contracting companies of which at least 8 years in commissioning.
  • Experience in operations, commissioning, start-up, and hand-over activities.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Relevant technical knowledge. Multi-discipline engineering exposure with troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Good IT and analytical skills with the ability to work well under pressure.
