Job Summary

Senior Principal Inspection Tech Wanted for Radiographic Examination

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Principal Inspection Tech to conduct radiographic examinations on welds and materials. The ideal candidate will have experience in radiographic supervision, ultrasonic testing, magnetic testing, and dye penetrant testing.

About the Role:

  1. Perform radiographic examinations on welds and materials using techniques such as RT, AUT, MUT, PAUT, TOFD, PT, and MT, in accordance with project-specific NDT plans and procedures.
  2. Determine conformity or non-conformity of flaws and report accurately.
  3. Liaise with senior quality inspectors, production supervisors, customers, and QC inspectors to ensure effective communication.

Responsibilities:

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
  1. Conduct radiographic examinations on welds and materials using techniques such as RT, AUT, MUT, PAUT, TOFD, PT, and MT, in accordance with project-specific NDT plans and procedures.
  2. Ensure execution of examinations in accordance with approved NDT procedures and internationally recognized codes/specifications.
  3. Report conforming work and identify non-conforming work for rectification, ensuring that rectified work is inspected prior to re-examination by the original NDT method.
  4. Be occupationally qualified to internationally recognized schemes to determine competency and perform duties ethically in accordance with professional occupation guidelines.
  5. Assess examination results accurately, sentence welds, and report according to relevant code/spec acceptance criteria.
  6. Provide practical training to junior technicians and guide them on overall NDT work processes.
  7. Maintain proper NDT equipment and calibration records.
  8. Review NDT-related procedures, vendor documents, and client specifications.
  9. Develop NDT inspection scan plans and technique sheets based on project requirements for advanced methods like PAUT and TOFD.

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications and Education:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
  2. At least 10 years of experience in radiographic supervision/RTFI or ultrasonic, MT & PT.
  3. ASNT, PCN, or CSWIP Level II qualification.
