Job Title: Odoo Developer

About the Role:

Talent Pal is seeking an experienced Odoo Developer to join our team. As an Odoo Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and customizing Odoo applications to meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop Odoo applications, including new module development and customization.
  • Analyze scope documents and create low-level requirement documents in collaboration with different teams.
  • Follow best practices in software development to ensure code readability and maintainability.
  • Reuse features available in Odoo to fulfill scope objectives.
  • Create custom modules in Odoo to meet specific domain requirements.
  • Follow source code checking processes to maintain code in Git Version Control.
  • Adhere to best practices for secure software development.

Required Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of Python and programming concepts.
  • Complete understanding of Odoo basic flow.
  • Knowledge of data models available in Odoo core.
  • Proven expertise in developing custom modules in Odoo.
  • Odoo techno-functional knowledge.
  • Experience in developing the latest versions of Odoo and excellent debugging skills.
  • Experience in migrating from earlier Odoo versions to new versions.
  • Core knowledge about current features available in Odoo Sales, Purchase, CRM, Accounts, Inventory, Projects, Timesheet, and HR.
  • Knowledge in handling Odoo frontend (XML and JavaScript).
  • Good knowledge of PostgreSQL with the ability to write SQL queries.
  • View customization work on widgets, wizards, JavaScript, view XML, etc.
  • QWeb reports creation.
  • Data import using Odoo import as well as custom import using Python.
  • Knowledge of Version Control systems like Git.
  • Knowledge of Linux-flavored operating systems.
