Job Summary

Asterix Communications is seeking a highly skilled Rotating Equipment Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for conducting rotating equipment engineering activities for projects, from initial concept definition to commissioning.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement rotating equipment engineering strategies to ensure project success.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement rotating equipment solutions.
  3. Conduct site surveys, engineering, and design activities to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  4. Review and approve technical deviations and variations to approved guidelines, codes, and standards.
  5. Develop and maintain schedules for in-house engineering activities to ensure timely delivery of technical services.
  6. Lead and coordinate activities of a team of multidisciplinary engineers to provide technical services to meet project requirements.
  7. Ensure that environmental and safety policies are incorporated into designs and work-scopes.
  8. Review and evaluate contract changes and variations to ensure scope compliance.
  9. Support the development of personal technical competency and skills, as well as those of coworkers.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor of Technology/Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Chartered Engineer/Professional Engineer status or equivalent.
  • 10 years of relevant post-graduate experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Ability to identify and utilize relevant engineering standards and codes related to rotating equipment engineering.
  • Proven ability to manage time, cost, and quality in engineering projects within a multiple project environment.
  • Good communication and presentation skills with fluency in English.
What We Offer

Asterix Communications offers a competitive day rate in QAR, plus allowance, and a 9-hour, 6-day work schedule. This is a renewable contract with a duration of December 2024 and beyond.
