As a Traffic Management Specialist, you will be responsible for coordinating the movement of cargo and ensuring timely delivery to our customers. Your duties will include:

  1. Receiving and processing inbound cargo manifests and airway bills, preparing tasking folders and other necessary documents.
  2. Coordinating with subcontractors to ensure smooth cargo processing and delivery.
  3. Tracking shipments and ensuring timely delivery to our customers.
  4. Closing out tasking folders and ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed.
  5. Receiving and processing outbound cargo manifests and transportation control and movement documents.
  6. Preparing tasking folders and other necessary documents for outbound shipments.
  7. Determining the best transportation mode for outbound cargo.
  8. Coordinating with SDDC and subcontractors for outbound sea and air shipments.
  9. Tracking outbound cargo and ensuring timely delivery to seaports and airports.
  10. Providing liaison services with seaport and airport authorities, shipping agents, and internal/external customers.
  11. Performing quality assurance actions to ensure subcontractors are meeting contract requirements.
  12. Operating computers, printers, fax machines, and using local area networks and email for business correspondence.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to understand, speak, read, and write English at an intermediate level.
  2. Proficiency in the use of personal computers and Windows Operating System and Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  3. A valid home country driver's license and the ability to obtain a host nation driver's license.
  4. The ability to operate material handling equipment.
Education and Experience:

You will need:

  1. A high school diploma or equivalent.
  2. A minimum of three years' experience in the civilian or military transportation industry.
Working Environment:

You will work in a maintenance shop or warehouse environment and may be required to work outdoors for extended periods. You may be exposed to extreme noise from operating equipment and will be required to wear proper personal protective equipment according to prescribed procedures and as required for the task being performed. You will be physically capable of performing all required duties and will be able to lift, push, and pull a minimum of 50 pounds and perform extensive work handling and lifting equipment.
