Job Title: Systems Specialist

The Community College of Qatar is seeking a highly skilled Systems Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, installing, and configuring physical and virtual servers, as well as evaluating and optimizing existing unified computing resources.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Server and Virtualization Management: Design, develop, install, and maintain operating systems, utilities, and applications software on computing systems.
  2. Infrastructure Architecture: Architect, implement, and maintain virtual infrastructure solutions based on VMware and OVM.
  3. Network and Storage Administration: Administer and support core Microsoft servers, Active Directory, VMware, and Oracle VM technologies.
  4. System Maintenance: Manage and maintain VCenter and ESXi infrastructure along with VDS and standard switches.
  5. Technical Expertise: Solid experience with physical and virtual servers, operating systems including Windows, Unix, and Linux, desktops, remote access, and applications.
  6. Infrastructure Deployment: Deploy, administer, and support Cisco UCS blade and rack server infrastructure along with unified network and storage platform.
  7. Network and Storage Management: Manage and maintain fabric interconnect and MDS switches with a sound understanding of networking terminologies and traffic flows.
  8. Storage Area Network: Deploy and configure storage area network, namely EMC VNX and Clarion infrastructure, which includes LUN creation and zoning.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure management.
