Job Description

The role of a Piping Flexibility Engineer at Aretè & Cocchi Technology involves coordinating technical activities within and outside the company. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in stress analysis design of piping networks, ensuring both technical and cost-effectiveness.

Responsibilities:
  1. Execute tasks related to piping flexibility analysis, guaranteeing compliance with QA/QC and HSE requirements.
  2. Main Responsibilities:
    • Develop technology know-how and commercial support.
    • Analyze feasibility and develop commercial proposals during the bidding phase.
    • Estimate quantities and costs for critical support components.
  3. Project Execution:
    • Oversee quality, budget, and project schedule for piping flexibility analysis tasks.
    • Review client technical documentation and requirements.
    • Design all piping supports components.
    • Issue project piping flexibility (stress analysis) specifications and critical lines lists.
    • Perform calculations for critical piping networks.
    • Issue loads to facilitate pipe-rack and foundation design.
    • Issue technical requisitions for all piping supports components required by flexibility analysis.
    • Evaluate technical bids for all piping supports components offers.
    • Issue technical requisitions for all piping supports components purchase orders.
    • Review and approve vendor documents.
    • Maintain project technical files and update company standards.
    • Perform inter-disciplines checking for part of documents according to piping flexibility section scope.
    • Check sub-contracted discipline engineering documents according to piping flexibility section scope.
    • Verify documents issued by piping flexibility engineers.
    • Examine isometrics for construction of critical lines.
    • Assist P and ID section preparation for flexibility inputs of line list.
    • Notify the Project Piping and Layout leader of any foreseen technical or cost impact or delay risk.
    • Capitalize piping flexibility activities performed during the project.
  4. Construction and Start-up:
    • Provide technical support.
    • Assist with engineering adjustments on site when necessary.
  5. Home Office Activities (Master):
    • Projects coordination: provide input to Flexibility Engineer to harmonize design and methodologies.
    • Support projects and procurements to resolve non-standard problems.
    • Define department workflow modifications and technical standards.
    • Participate in company workflow and technical standardization modifications.
    • Collect project feedback for continuous improvement implementation (Lesson Learned).
    • Participate in vendor and outsourcing qualification.
    • Participate in project/company procurement strategy (Purchasing team).
    • Develop and scout tools for simplified design activities.
    • Plan, control, and manage outsourcing engineering center.
