Job Overview

A challenging opportunity has emerged to join a renowned Oil and Gas Operator in Doha, Qatar. This 1-year contract will involve working 5 days a week.

The company offers an attractive day rate and economy class flights.

As a Subsurface Data Management Specialist, you will be responsible for managing dynamic data and ensuring its dissemination.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring all dynamic data is thoroughly QCed and disseminated.
  • SUPPORTING project Scorecards/KPI maintenance.
  • Expert in Undertaking Data Management activities.
  • Well & Log Data Management (Well Headers, Deviation, Markers, Log Curves etc).
  • Improving Data Management standards and procedures with new and Innovative Workflows.
  • SUPPORTING Organizing data transfers between companies.
  • SUPPORTING Framing and organizing working sessions.
  • Organizing Technical and Project data in SharePoint.
  • Preparing subsurface and project data room for External Sharing.
  • Acting as a Focal Point and providing Technical and Data Management Assistance to the G&G Users Community.
  • Expert in Undertaking Data Management Activities involving Landmark's OpenWorks Database Management and Maintenance.
  • Expert in Undertaking Seismic Data Management Activities which involves Data Clean-up, Data Mining from Various Sources, Identifying Duplications, Data Cleansing, 2D/3D Navigation and Seismic Data Loading, Data Rectification, Manipulation of Navigation and Trace Data and Loading into OpenWorks and Petrel.
  • Well Data Management (Well Headers, Deviation, Markers, Log Curves etc) Gathering, Analyzing and Loading of Well Data Types into OpenWorks/Petrel.
  • Performing High Standards of Quality Control Checks for All G&G Data Types Including Pre and Post Data Loading into Applications and Software.
  • Standardizing Naming Conventions for Seismic, Horizons, Faults, Tops, Wells Etc in OpenWorks Database and Making Sure the Nomenclature is Synchronized in Other G&G Applications.
  • G&G Data Import and Export from Landmark to Schlumberger Applications and Vice Versa.
  • Improving Data Management Standards and Procedures with New and Innovative Workflows.
  • Advance Knowledge of Petrel Data Management and Transfer Between Reference and Working Projects.
  • Intelligent in Finding Workarounds to Rectify Data Related Issues.
  • Creating Detailed Workflow/Reports (Incl CRS Info, Data Format for All Data Types) for All Areas.
  • Organizing Electronic and Physical Data as Per the Client Standard.
  • Sharing Best Practices and Knowledge Sharing with UI Staff.
  • Help Establish a Database Environment and System for All Current and Future UI Activities.
  • Liaising with Internal Stakeholders to Accomplish Tasks – IT and UXI.
  • Providing Application Support for Landmark and Petrel Applications as Required. To Enable This the Successful Candidate Should Possess Excellent Product Knowledge and Familiarity with the Use of the Software. Complete and Expert in Sight of Data Lifecycle and Data Management Procedures is Highly Desirable.
