Key Responsibilities:

As a Drilling Operations Specialist at Fugro, you will be responsible for conducting drilling and associated works at project locations to obtain samples for soil investigation. Your primary goal will be to perform drilling duties as specified by technical parameters and within the specific time limits, aiming to maximize production output.

Key Accountabilities:
  1. Conduct drilling operations, including drilling, coring, sampling, and grouting, in accordance with Fugro's HSE policies and local regulations.
  2. Handle and store all samples as per Fugro's procedure and standards.
  3. Inform Site Supervisors about all drilling information and events on site, ensuring accurate logging by the responsible person.
  4. Immediately report any difficulties or issues to a Superior or Senior team member.
  5. Ensure that drilling tools of correct specifications are available in good working condition and maintained.
  6. Store and keep drilling tools and equipment clean and in good working condition from project mobilization until return to stores/yard.
  7. Report any faults, breakage, or malfunctioning of tools to the Site Supervisor.
  8. Work in complete coordination and cooperation with other employees as a member of the site team.
  9. Coach new employees if requested.
Requirements:
  1. General schooling with relevant Technical/Trade School certificate preferred.
Skills and Experience:
  1. Ability to perform routine drilling activities on shore or near shore/off shore without guidance.
  2. Good sense of handling a drill and related equipment in different types of soils and environmental conditions.
  3. Fully understand the implications of major symbols used for Technical guidance and HSE issues on site.
  4. Required physical strength and manual dexterity to use drilling equipment.
