Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Architect/Interior Designer to join our team at Blueprint Middle East. As an experienced professional in commercial design, you will be responsible for creating beautiful and functional spaces for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Create initial concepts and gather key information about potential projects, discussing requirements with clients and setting project schedules.
  2. Understand client needs and the needs of space users to develop design concepts and establish final briefs.
  3. Cultivate materials and costs according to set budgets and negotiate project fees.
  4. Conduct feasibility studies for projects.
  5. Gather information and photographs relating to the project.
  6. Produce mood boards to present to clients.
  7. Source products, such as fittings, furniture, lighting, finishes, decoration and dressing, and provide samples for clients.
  8. Prepare detailed working drawings, designs, plans, models and schemes, often using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
  9. Survey buildings.
  10. Work collaboratively with other designers.
  11. Supervise work at the design stage and on-site.
  12. Determine costs and work schedules to utilize space efficiently, and collaborate with manufacturers and contractors.
  13. Identify new business opportunities and sell services to potential clients.
  14. Stay updated with latest developments in the design industry.

Requirements & Qualifications:
To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:
  1. Bachelor/Master degree in Interiors & Architecture.
  2. Minimum 3 years of experience in interior designing, preferably in the interiors/fit-out industry.
  3. Familiarity with commercial design and proven experience in retail/F&B projects is preferred.
  4. A high level of technical knowledge, including CAD and model-making skills.
  5. Good drawing skills, including perspective drawing and spatial awareness.
  6. Creativity, imagination, and artistic flair.
  7. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to write briefs, promote ideas, and build relationships with clients.
  8. Awareness of building and safety regulations.
  9. Knowledge of the wider construction and design industries.
  10. Project management skills, including the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  11. Attention to detail.
  12. Organizational and creative problem-solving skills.
  13. Good negotiating and management skills.
  14. The ability to work effectively in a team with other professionals.
  15. A flexible attitude.
  16. Business, finance, and marketing skills.
