The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the onshore project in all health, safety, environment, and security (SHES) related disciplines.
Job Description
The SHES professional will work closely with the PMT SHES lead to ensure compliance with project requirements. Responsibilities include providing oversight for newly onboarded contractors, subcontractors, and vendors, monitoring site SHES programs, and reviewing data and information systems as required.
In addition, the successful candidate will verify SHES resource allocation, competencies, and performance, monitor newly mobilized personnel, provide mentoring, and promote development of SHES personnel. They will also champion on-site SHES awareness and safe performance, daily attendance of tool-box talks and task instructions, and provide coaching and leadership to contractors and subcontractors.
Required Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a SHES-related qualification such as a NEBOSH certificate or 10 years of experience in lieu of qualification. A NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) or equivalent is also required. The successful candidate should have a SHES-related lead auditor certification and TapRooT root cause analysis training or experience. Relevant industry HSE experience of 5-8 years is necessary, along with international project experience with Tier-1 contractors or clients involved in onshore production facilities.
A sound knowledge of the project execution process in large-scale project environments is essential, as well as strong teamwork and facilitation skills. The ability to communicate and interact at all levels of the organization is critical. Additionally, excellent verbal and written English skills are required, along with the ability to cope with excessive workload and create high-quality output in a timely manner.
