The Highfield Company is seeking a seasoned Senior Claim Specialist to lead the preparation, coordination, issue, and administration of large value claims and time extensions. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for analyzing contractual terms and conditions, tender pricing, and actual time spent. A key focus will be on identifying contractual routes for cost recovery and presenting claims effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Analysis of contractual terms and conditions
  2. Analysis of tender pricing, rates, and productivity levels
  3. Inspection and analysis of records and contractual notices
  4. Analysis of actual time spent, costs incurred, and actual productivity achieved
  5. Preparation of cause and effect detailed analysis
  6. Presentation and negotiation of the claim
  7. Identification of contractual routes for the recovery of cost

Requirements for Extension of Time Claims:

  1. Identification of planned programme and critical path
  2. Ascertaining the adequacy of the planned programme and correcting as necessary
  3. Analysis of revised/updated programs and reasons for changes
  4. Inspection of records and delay notices
  5. Preparation of delay analysis using accepted techniques
  6. Presentation and negotiation of the claim

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years of high-value claims experience in the Middle East
  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or relevant professional qualifications
  • Fifteen years project experience with five years in contract administration for major build projects
  • Familiarity with Primavera P3 and its use in preparing as-built and cause-and-effect programs
  • Proven ability to develop and negotiate complex contractual claim submissions
  • Strong computer skills including analytical spreadsheet development
