Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Risk Management Specialist to join our team at Power Systems & Information Technology (PSTech). As a Senior Risk Management Specialist, you will be responsible for protecting and enhancing our reputation by managing the risk of major incidents occurring.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement risk and contingency plans for assets in specific locations.
- Update and maintain the asset risk register with evidenced data.
- Build contingency plans and programs of works to mitigate identified risks.
- Conduct risk assessments using established methodologies and approaches.
- Collaborate with Infrastructure Affairs and Asset Management teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.
- Test contingency plans through simulated incident exercises.
- Identify stakeholders and create communication plans for contingency plans.
- Monitor and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and ensure work is aligned with the company's vision.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a relevant discipline from a recognized university.
- Masters degree or professional qualification in risk management from a Western European or North American academic institution.
- Minimum 15 years of previous experience in operational risk management.
- Water and Waste Treatment, Network, or Pumping Station operational/asset management experience.
- Proven problem-solving and scenario-planning skills.
- Able to converse confidently with external agencies and customers.
- Confidence to direct contractors and maintain relationships.
- Ability to escalate issues with evidence to management.
