About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager, Operations to join our team in Doha. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the management of approximately 14 headcount daily.

Your primary focus will be on providing guidance and training to the team by implementing skills matrix and training plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Team Management: Oversee the management of approximately 14 headcount daily.
  2. Guidance and Training: Provide guidance and training to the team by implementing skills matrix and training plans.
  3. Facilitation and Implementation: Facilitate, manage, and implement changes/improvements and embed a robust control and MI collation system.
  4. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all policies, rules and regulations, guidelines and practices are complied with before authorizing or releasing payments.
  5. Regulatory Requirements: Ensure compliance/AML regulatory requirements are adhered to while checking/crediting the transactions.
  6. Communication and Consultation: Provide day-to-day consultation to Branches/Internal Customers/various Departments/Units in HO with respect to ops matters in accordance with Bank's policy/OPM/SOPs/APPM/Compliance/Anti-Money Laundering and Local rules and regulations.
  7. Process Improvement: Suggest review/alignment in operating procedures wherever required to simplify workflows and ensure that they are workable, standardized, cost-effective, and adequately cover Bank risks.
  8. Customer Satisfaction: Intervene and resolve customer queries/complaints of critical nature to maximize their satisfaction.
  9. Productivity and Efficiency: Capture statistics to determine root causes and fix gaps to maximize productivity and customer satisfaction.
  10. Staff Development: Implement staff training plans to develop their skills and competence to perform assigned tasks accurately and efficiently and facilitate their career growth.
  11. System Maintenance: Involve in resolving system-related issues to ensure no impact on day-to-day processes/activities.
  12. Daily Reporting: Ensure checking of various daily reports/statements/statistics and that corrective/preventive actions are taken.
  13. Business Objectives: Take initiative to achieve business objectives for self and help/support colleagues in achieving theirs.
  14. Exceptions Recording: Ensure exceptions are recorded and reported in a timely manner.
  15. Centralization and Projects: Support Centralization and other projects/initiatives.
  16. Data Accuracy: Coordinate with officials across the Bank to ensure that customer-related data captured in the system are accurate and periodic reporting to Regulatory are error-free.
  17. Rectification of Data: Coordinate with Doha officials for rectification of data/reporting (corrective and preventive actions).
