Job Title: Senior Electrical Technician 132/11KV Transformers

At GETP Group, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Technician to join our team. As a key member of our electrical maintenance team, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical switchgear, transformers, and other electrical equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise the operation and maintenance of 50/60MVA × 2, 132/11KV Transformers
  • Perform shutdown maintenance of Ring Main Unit Substation
  • Operate and maintain 1600KVA, 11/0.440 KV, 50HZ and 60HZ transformers
  • Operate and maintain Motor Generators with VFD- 3×1500KVA, 11kv, 60Hz and 1× 2500KVA, 11KV, 60Hz
  • Perform switching operation and maintenance of 1250A- SF6 and 630A - vacuum circuit breakers
  • Operate and maintain Air circuit breakers, 3200A and 2500A
  • Perform shutdown, operation & maintenance of 2 X 1900 KVA Emergency Diesel Generators, including monthly run test
  • Experience with Ref 542plus, Ret615
  • Operate ATS of HV and LV system
  • Perform shutdown and maintenance of MV-ACS6000 Drives and LV -ACS 800
  • Maintain High voltage Multi motor soft starters
  • Maintain different types of UPS Up to 250kva and Battery chargers, Battery Bank shutdown and Maintenance
  • Perform preventive and shutdown maintenance of Capacitor banks-500kvar & 600kvar
  • Maintain yard PMS network system and Monitoring Electrical Network of the substation and other utility
  • Perform impressed current cathodic protection shutdown, preventive & corrective maintenance
Key Performance Indicators:
  • Experience working with Electrical High voltage Cable related work
  • Aware of Electrical substation equipment's
  • Preferably experience in Qatar and aware about KM regulations
  • English communication skills
  • Should have a good health record – should pass medical fitness
