Job Title: Software Engineer Apigee API Management

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our team as an Apigee API Management specialist. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining API solutions using the Apigee Edge platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • API Design and Development: Design, develop, and implement API proxies, policies, and extensions using the Apigee Edge platform.
  • Integration and Collaboration: Work closely with developers and DevOps teams to integrate APIs with existing systems and applications.
  • Code Quality and Maintenance: Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices and coding standards.
  • Troubleshooting and Debugging: Perform troubleshooting and debugging of API-related issues to ensure timely resolution.
  • Performance Optimization: Conduct performance testing and optimization of APIs to ensure optimal scalability and responsiveness.
  • Security Measures: Implement security measures such as OAuth, JWT, and TLS to protect APIs from unauthorized access and data breaches.
  • Client Requirements: Collaborate with product management teams to understand client requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in API management and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5 years of experience in the same role.
  • Proficiency in Apigee Edge platform and related technologies such as JSON, XML, etc.
  • Strong programming skills in languages like Java, JavaScript, Python, or Go.
  • Experience with API security protocols and standards (OAuth, JWT, TLS, etc.).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP), AWS, or Azure.
  • Apigee certification (e.g., Apigee API Engineer, Apigee API Architect).
  • Experience with microservices architecture and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
