Job Summary

Asterix Communications seeks a highly skilled Cost Control Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for preparing cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts, as well as analyzing and reporting on project costs.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and maintain accurate cost estimates and budgets for projects, including cost breakdown structures and forecasts.
  2. Conduct thorough cost analysis and reporting, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cost-effective project delivery.
  4. Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and technologies, including cost estimating software and SAP.
  5. Provide expert advice and guidance on cost-related matters to project teams and stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or finance discipline.
  • Minimum 12 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, with expertise in cost engineering activities.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.
What We Offer

A competitive day rate in QAR, plus allowance, and a 9-hour, 6-day work schedule. This is a renewable contract with a duration of December 2024 and beyond.
