We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT professional to join our team at The Community College of Qatar. As a Senior IT Infrastructure Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our physical and virtual infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design and Implementation: Design and implement physical and virtual servers, evaluating and optimizing existing unified computing resources to ensure maximum efficiency and performance.
  2. Operating System Management: Design, develop, install, and maintain operating systems, utilities, and applications software on computing systems, ensuring seamless integration and compatibility.
  3. Virtual Infrastructure: Architect, implement, and maintain virtual infrastructure solutions based on VMware and OVM, ensuring scalability and reliability.
  4. Server Administration: Administer and support core Microsoft servers, Active Directory, VMware, and Oracle VM technologies, ensuring secure and efficient operation.
  5. Infrastructure Management: Manage and maintain VCenter and ESXi infrastructure, including VDS and standard switches, to ensure optimal performance and availability.
  6. Technical Expertise: Possess solid experience with physical and virtual servers, operating systems including Windows, Unix, and Linux, desktops, remote access, and applications, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of IT infrastructure.
  7. Cisco UCS Expertise: Deploy, administer, and support Cisco UCS blade and rack server infrastructure, along with unified network and storage platform, ensuring seamless integration and operation.
  8. Networking and Storage: Manage and maintain fabric interconnect and MDS switches, with a sound understanding of networking terminologies and traffic flows, ensuring efficient and reliable data transfer.
  9. Storage Area Network: Deploy and configure storage area network, namely EMC VNX and Clarion infrastructure, including LUN creation and zoning, ensuring secure and efficient data storage.
