About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Compliance Specialist to join our team at lxbfYeaa. As a key member of our Compliance and Safety department, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our maintenance standards meet the requirements of QCAR Parts 145, M, and 147, as well as EASA Parts 145 and 147.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Compliance Monitoring and Audits: Conduct planned and ad-hoc compliance monitoring, audits, and investigations to identify and record any findings. Initiate and recommend solutions to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  2. Regulatory Updates and Compliance: Review regulatory changes and update our technical procedures and manuals to maintain compliance with acceptable levels. Liaise with regulatory authorities and external parties to ensure accurate and timely updates.
  3. Documentation and Authorization: Prepare and review Compliance and Safety Notices, leaflets, and other documentation. Control and maintain our authorization system for staff qualifications and training, ensuring compliance with QCAR/EASA and customer regulations.
  4. Assessment and Investigation: Participate in Assessment Boards for granting, extending, or renewing Qatar Airways authorizations. Investigate occurrence reports to identify root causes and recommend mitigation strategies.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent with a minimum of 4 years of job-related experience.
  • A Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or Aeronautical Engineering, or a Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering with an ICAO type II license.
  • Compliance and Safety/Quality audit training.
  • QCAA/EASA Part 145, M, and 147 training.
  • Detailed knowledge of air legislation, particularly ICAO, QCAA, EASA, and FAA Regulations.
  • Detailed knowledge of Compliance and Safety/Quality systems, continued airworthiness, and aircraft maintenance fundamentals.
  • Problem-solving abilities with analytical skills.
