Job Title: Phlebotomist - Research

Sidra Medicine Doha seeks a skilled Phlebotomist - Research to join our team. As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for collecting blood specimens from study participants, ensuring the safety and welfare of our subjects, and maintaining aseptic technique.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform venipuncture, capillary, and/or intravenous specimen collection from study subjects according to established procedures.
  • Interact with subjects to obtain information for laboratory records, explain procedures, and elicit cooperation.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies and reorder as required.
  • Ensure quality control, quality assurance, and maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment.
  • Prepare samples for delivery to the requestor/Customer for internal transportation or shipment as appropriate.
Requirements:
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 17021, or ISO 15189 standards and JCI and CAP guidelines.
