Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Kitchen Steward to join our team at AccorHotel. As a key member of our Food and Beverage Division, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and organization in our kitchen and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform all duties and tasks in the assigned place of work, adhering to established procedures and protocols.
  • Work in an environment of teamwork and lateral service, providing exceptional support to colleagues and guests.
  • Undertake any reasonable tasks and secondary duties as assigned by the Steward Supervisor, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Be entirely flexible and adapt to rotate within the different sub-departments of the Food & Beverage Division or any other Department of the hotel as assigned.
  • Strictly adhere to the opening and closing procedures established for the department, ensuring seamless operations.
  • Be fully conversant with all services and facilities offered by the hotel, providing guests with exceptional knowledge and support.
  • Perform opening and closing procedures established for the place of work as assigned, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization.
  • Ensure that the place of work and surrounding area is kept clean and always organized, adhering to HACCP procedures and protocols.
  • Monitor operating supplies and reduce spoilage and wastage, maintaining efficient and effective operations.
  • Perform general cleaning duties as assigned by the Steward Supervisor, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization.
  • Clean and wash dishes according to established performance standards, ensuring exceptional quality and cleanliness.
  • Clean and wash pots, pans, and other kitchen utensils according to performance standards, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization.
  • Empty rubbish bins according to the garbage schedules, maintaining a clean and organized environment.
  • Have a thorough understanding and knowledge of all cleaning procedures, use of dishwashing machines, and the type of chemicals to be used, ensuring exceptional safety and efficiency.
  • Ensure that the work area is kept clean and always organized, adhering to HACCP procedures and protocols.
  • Exercise careful use of operating supplies to reduce spoilage and wastage, maintaining efficient and effective operations.
  • Handle guest and employee inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, reporting guest complaints or problems to supervisors if no immediate solution can be found and assuring follow-up with guests.
  • Attend and contribute to all staff meetings, departmental and hotel training scheduled, and other related activities, maintaining exceptional knowledge and support.
  • Assist in carrying out monthly, quarterly, bi-yearly, and yearly inventory of operating equipment, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
Qualifications

High school education and one year minimum previous experience required in a high-volume kitchen or full-service hotel.
