Addleshaw Goddard's Construction, Engineering and Environment Team is a fundamental area of our business and a practice to which the firm is deeply committed. The Role

We are seeking a Construction Lawyer to join our team to work on a variety of construction matters, focusing predominantly on non-contentious matters. The work is a broad range across our chosen markets and sectors, particularly Real Estate, Energy and Utilities, Industrials, Retail and Consumer, and Transport and Healthcare, together with our market-leading Managing Risk service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the drafting of and advising clients on a range of construction issues and documentation, including consultant appointments, warranties, construction and development contracts, in a range of sectors.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide concise and practical legal advice.
  • Maintain efficient diary and task management across a range of matters, ensuring the accuracy and levels of client service expected within a high-performing team.
  • Contribute to the success and development of the team, providing a willingness to take on new challenges and responsibilities.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience in construction law gained within a quality environment, likely but not exclusively within a large or mid-tier firm.
  • Enthusiasm, proactivity, and a drive to develop professionally.
  • A willingness to contribute to the success and development of the team.
  • An ability to deliver concise and practical legal advice.
  • Maintain efficient diary and task management across a range of matters, ensuring the accuracy and levels of client service expected within a high-performing team.
