We are partnering with a leading operator to source a Senior Commissioning Professional for a long-term contract role on a rotational basis. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in commissioning activities for oil and gas projects.

Key Job Responsibilities
  1. The successful candidate will serve as the client representative on board client facilities/contractor marine spread at offshore locations, responsible for project-related pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
  2. They will prepare required work permits as permit applicant and ensure all stipulated client e-PTW system requirements are adhered to by contractor personnel for execution of identified work.
  3. The candidate will attend daily meetings with the Asset Holder for planning of works and reporting of progress/constraints.
  4. They will liaise with HSEQ personnel for the required surveillance of construction/installation/commissioning works to ensure works are being carried out in line with approved HSEQ procedures.
  5. The Commissioning Project Manager will coordinate with the contractor representative for movement of personnel and material for execution of work as per agreed schedule.
  6. They will review, comment, and approve contractor's pre-commissioning and commissioning plans/schedules/procedures/JSAs.
  7. The Oil & Gas Commissioning Specialist will monitor pre-commissioning and commissioning activities to ensure works are in line with approved procedures and AFC drawings.
  8. They will inspect the completed work for mechanical completion and identified punch list items to start the pre-commissioning activities.
  9. The Commissioning Coordination Expert will coordinate with construction supervisors for clearance of punch list items and witness required pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
  10. They will provide daily progress report of the activities to Head Commissioning and Logistics and Project Team as per identified distribution matrix.
  11. The candidate will schedule and coordinate with Operations Representatives to witness site acceptance tests, loop checks etc. as per commissioning plan.
  12. They will develop planning of the commissioning activities and ensure its implementation as per the approved commissioning plan and project schedule.
  13. The successful candidate will detail the activities into required systems and subsystems to facilitate commissioning and start up.
  14. They will develop and arrange for approval of all commissioning handover checklists and certificates and coordinate with Contractor/Vendors to solve system/equipment performance problems.
  15. The Commissioning Project Manager will work closely with project Construction Team, End User and Contractor to coordinate punch listing activities from beginning to end of the commissioning process including clearance and close out.
  16. They will coordinate schedule for vendors' presence/visits at site(s), on-job training to assist in the commissioning of critical equipment and processes.
  17. The candidate will support Qatari development activities by ensuring that Qatari receive the proper job training and development in order to realize the full potential for local talents and maximize contribution to project success.
  18. They will support client in development of new standards, specification, guidelines etc and support enhancement of existing corporate documents.
