Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Climate Control Specialist to join our team. In this exciting role, you'll be responsible for installing, servicing, and repairing temperature and air quality control systems across our properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • System Maintenance: Repair, maintain, and provide technical attention to all electrical and mechanical refrigeration systems, including freezer, fridges, ice makers, fan coil units, chiller, and more.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Maintain preventively all air-conditioning and refrigeration systems within the hotel to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Performance Checks: Regularly check on the performance of refrigeration systems and components to identify areas for improvement.
  • Door Closure Systems: Verify all door closing systems on walk-in coolers/freezers (door gaskets/latches) to ensure proper function.
  • Defrosting Systems: Check and maintain all defrosting systems and automation of ice makers to prevent operational issues.
  • Maintenance Requests: Respond promptly to maintenance requests from all departments to address any concerns or issues.
  • Cleaning and Filter Maintenance: Ensure routine cleaning of fan coil units and air-handling unit filters to maintain optimal system performance.
  • Chill Water Systems: Regularly check on the performance of chill water systems to ensure smooth operation.
  • Collaboration: Cooperate with engineering colleagues to detect failures of air-conditioning and refrigeration systems and perform necessary setup.
  • Environmental Responsibility: Implement strict control measures to prevent the venting of CFCs into the atmosphere.
  • Equipment Overhaul: Overhaul air-conditioning/refrigeration equipment and systems as needed to maintain optimal performance.
  • Refrigeration and Oil Levels: Regularly check and control refrigeration and oil levels, performing major repairs as necessary.
  • Part Procurement: Inform the Engineering Storekeeper of necessary part purchases to ensure timely replacement.
  • Country Regulations: Adhere to country-specific technical regulations and safety standards when performing maintenance tasks.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have a diploma in maintenance of refrigeration systems or building services engineering, with previous experience in the same role. A proven knowledge in the operation and maintenance of equipment is essential, as well as a good command of English and ability to find faults and rectify subsystems.
