Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our growing engineering department and be part of our Core Platform team. As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and operating business-critical features that add customer value. You will work with Ruby and Typescript back-end stacks, hosted on AWS, to build resilient services that integrate with our customers' business-critical tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and deploy high-quality, secure, and scalable solutions to Aircall clients
  • Write clean, scalable code using Ruby and Typescript, test, and deploy applications and systems
  • Participate in requirements analysis, solution design, architecture, and end-to-end delivery of key modules to provide business solutions
  • Involve in product and platform performance optimization and live site monitoring
  • Mentor junior team members
Requirements
  • At least 5+ years of experience in back-end development, using Ruby/Ruby On Rails, with a focus on delivering for security, scalability, availability, and performance
  • Experience with AWS in a production environment, preferably for high volume/high availability services
  • Rigorous with code quality and other engineering best practices (testability, maintainability)
  • Effective and proactive communication skills, and ability to collaborate with different profiles and roles
