Job Summary

The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional support to the Client Management and Business Development team. This role involves proactively assisting in managing client relationships, onboarding and offboarding clients, answering client queries, and maintaining daily tasks in accordance with established procedures and routines.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assist in monitoring and achieving Key Performance Indicators on a periodic basis to drive sustainable growth.
  2. Support the development of routines to ensure cost-efficient service delivery.
  3. Implement KPIs and best practices for Senior Associate Custody Client Management and Business Development.
  4. Promote cost consciousness and efficiency, enhance productivity to minimize costs, avoid waste, and optimize benefits for the bank.
  5. Act within the limits of delegated authority.
  6. Assist in servicing client needs, feedback, and queries via email, phone calls, or meetings.
  7. Support Relationship Managers in ongoing client management tasks.
  8. Assist in the onboarding process of new clients.
  9. Provide timely and accurate information to external and internal auditors and the Compliance function as required on the custody client base and activities.
  10. Assist clients in their queries on the bank's products and seek solutions to their requests.
  11. Maintain activities in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with internal departments/units to achieve improvements in turnaround time.
  12. Build and maintain strong relationships with related departments/units to achieve the Group's objectives.
  13. Provide timely and accurate data to external/internal Auditors, Compliance, Financial Control, and Risk when required.
  14. Develop strong working relationships with Assistant Relationship Managers and Relationship Managers, ensuring two-way communication and information flow to facilitate efficient handling of client queries.
  15. Own reporting processes according to client and regulator requirements.
  16. Assist in producing prospect lists on potential custody clients and their continuous engagements.
  17. Guide clients into existing offerings and procedures to limit operational risk.
  18. Assist in regular and enhanced due diligence to keep all custody clients' KYC documentation up to date.
  19. Support the Department head in the preparation of periodic Management and Business Information reports.
  20. Assist in work related to AGM/EGMs and participate in meetings on behalf of custody clients and QNB's own assets.
  21. Act as the first line of defense in OP risk maintenance.
  22. Maintain a good understanding of the client's business model, purpose, and operational procedures.
  23. Match client needs to our Custody offerings by mapping with existing QNB Custody capabilities and procedures.
  24. Ensure everything offered to the client has an internal procedure to cater for the service.
  25. Work for standardization - create and uphold routines on how matters should be processed.
  26. Be well-versed with the client onboarding KYC screening procedures.
  27. Develop an understanding of the custody market in Qatar, identifying key trends, regulations, clients' needs, and the activities of competitors.
  28. Understand the driving forces behind the usage of custody services.
  29. Develop a good understanding of QNB ancillary products.
  30. Ensure high standards of data protection and confidentiality to safeguard commercially sensitive information.
  31. Maintain utmost confidentiality concerning customer and internal bank information obtained during the course of business, providing such information on a need-to-know basis only to Senior Management of QNB, Audit and Compliance functions, and relevant Regulators.
  32. Maintain high professional standards to uphold QNB's reputation and to strengthen its market leadership position.
  33. Perform all other ad hoc duties/activities related to QNB that management might request from time to time to support the Group Custody Team.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor degree - University graduate preferably with a Major in Marketing, Banking, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or Information Technology (related field of study).
  2. At least 2 years of relevant experience, preferably within a highly rated international bank.
