Job Title: Chief Surveyor

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Chief Surveyor to lead our survey operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and evaluating programs that facilitate the professional development and continuous learning of surveying staff.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Assist the direct manager in addressing site-related issues that require input.
* Supervise a group of personnel in designated projects and maintain a balance in assigned work assignments, tasks, and activities.
* Establish main control stations, datums, and grid lines from client requirements.
* Coordinate with management and design departments to inform them of discrepancies and errors in design drawings.
* Advise management on the most time- and cost-efficient methods for performing surveying tasks related to construction operations.

**Additional Responsibilities:**

* Inform management and commercial management of any extras that need to be back-charged to other contractors.
* Prepare necessary shop and design drawings to maintain smooth surveying operations.
* Obtain necessary legal requirements or approvals from government departments relevant to site operations.
* Prepare and plan resource and manpower requirements for projects.
* Arrange and maintain all records, reports, drawings, and survey equipment calibration/service logs.
* Instruct surveyors on tasks required on site.

**Requirements:**

* Strong leadership and management skills.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
* Strong knowledge of surveying principles and practices.
