Key Responsibilities
  1. Financial Planning: Develop and implement financial plans, budgets, and forecasts to ensure accurate financial reporting and decision-making.
  2. Budgeting: Prepare and manage budgets, including annual operating and capital budgets, to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  3. Reconciliation: Oversee monthly reconciliation against the budget, ensuring accuracy and compliance with organizational policies and financial regulations.
  4. Reporting: Develop and maintain financial reports, including financial statements, quarterly reports, and grants management reports, to provide insights on operational activity.

  6. Collaboration: Liaise with internal stakeholders to engage in the budgeting process, providing detailed, meaningful insights for budget management.

  8. Grant Management: Manage the financial aspects of grants management, including grant budgeting, tracking expenditures, and ensuring compliance with grant requirements.
  9. Financial Audits: Manage the financial year-end audit process, working closely with internal and external auditors to provide necessary documentation and information.
  10. Process Improvement: Lead automation efforts relevant to the work area to streamline processes and ensure compliance.
  11. Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with all stakeholders regarding financial matters, providing updates and responding to inquiries promptly.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration with professional qualifications such as ACA, CIMA, ACCA, CPA.
  • 9 - 10 years of relevant experience including supervisory experience preferably in higher education, healthcare, or research setup.
  • Thorough knowledge and experience in US general accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Experience in SAP or Oracle and similar ERP implementations preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills with a meticulous approach to reporting.
  • Demonstrated experience in working in a multicultural background.
  • Thorough attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced, result-oriented environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in English and Arabic (preferable).
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office suite of products with a strong focus on MS Excel.
