Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Radio Operator M/F - HLO to join our team at M&N Absolute Auto Repair. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our radio communications systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain all radio communications with the helicopter flight crew, helideck crew, and marine vessels on aeronautical and marine radio channels.
  • Generate, maintain, and distribute personnel on board (POB) lists.
  • Generate, maintain, and distribute emergency response duty roster.
  • Ensure all personnel have been briefed and shown safety videos for helicopter and vessel transfers.
  • Provide visible leadership to personnel to ensure safety targets are met.
  • Promote a strong safety culture by being a safety role model, showing trust, respect, and commitment, fostering collaboration across the organization.
  • Promote cost consciousness in order to embed a strong cost culture.
  • Drive an incident-free environment by establishing and maintaining a strong incident-free culture.
  • Actively participate in and promote company health and safety campaigns, policies, and procedures, that ensures personal safety and that of colleagues at all times.
  • Ensure compliance with Operating Procedures and Guidelines to ensure Process Safety, Operational Safety, and Plant Integrity.
  • Maintain the radio room and heli-admin as an alternative emergency response room.
Requirements
  • Graduated with minimum Higher Secondary School Education plus a three-year technical diploma (HNC, HND or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience with at least 5 years offshore level on-field equipment in diversified oil & gas processing or petrochemical plants.
  • Fluent in English with both written and verbal communication.
  • Good interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as, a good level of computer literacy and be proficient in Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Industry Experience: Minimum 2 years recent experience in UHF & VHF radio operations in an offshore environment.
  • Must hold valid aeronautical and marine radio operator certificates.
