Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Piping Supervisor to join our team in the Fabrication Yard, working on offshore modules. This role requires a skilled professional with expertise in piping and fabrication within the oil and gas sector.

Main Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and supervise the activities of foremen and their crews on the project.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE, Quality, and Ethics policies and procedures.
  • Set and apply standards of SAFETY, ETHICS, and QUALITY to comply with procedures and take corrective actions when necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with crew members, foremen, superintendents, and other stakeholders.
  • Read and understand drawings, dimensional surveys, project specifications, and procedures to take corrective actions as needed.
  • Stay conversant with specific standards applicable to the project or area of work.
  • Plan work for the project, utilizing the current plan to forecast future requirements.
  • Provide foremen with drawings and information required to complete tasks efficiently, productively, and safely.
  • Interface with production engineers and field engineers to ensure materials are available for planned work.
  • Ensure proper tools and equipment are available and utilized efficiently, productively, and safely.
  • Utilize overall project or area plans, milestone dates, yard layouts, and construction drawings to understand the project's overall scope and your area of responsibility.
  • Have a comprehensive understanding of project completion, including construction methodology, fab sequence, and milestone dates.
  • Forecast resources required for planned work (manpower, equipment, etc.).
  • Set targets for production for those directly reporting to you, as well as for foremen.
  • Communicate with support services in the yard, rigging, scaffolding, warehouse, facility, QC & NDT.
  • Provide written instructions as needed to those directly reporting to you.
  • Drive the team to achieve progress, productivity, safety, and quality.
  • Maintain accurate man-hours booking within estimates and provide weekly progress to production engineers. Take corrective actions when standards and targets are not met.
  • Refer quality, progress, or productivity issues to your superintendent and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Address any issues of poor quality or productivity and take appropriate action.
  • Report areas of poor performance and provide recommendations for improvement. Provide accurate feedback to your superintendent.
  • Submit CIRs and RFIs in a timely manner.
  • Conduct TBTs with the crew, conduct safety walkthroughs, and address any safety issues. Check HIT process.
  • Review TRAs with foremen when necessary and ensure they are discussed with the crew.
  • Maintain good housekeeping on your work area. Promote BBSM process and be responsible for your team's safety.
  • Lead by example and ensure company policies and procedures are followed.
  • Promote the implementation of QHSES initiatives and drive achieving objectives.
