Job Overview

Tanqeeb is seeking a highly skilled Substation Automation Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automation solutions for our substations.


Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and Implementation: Develop and implement automation solutions for substations, including control systems, monitoring systems, and communication networks. Utilize industry-standard tools and technologies to design and implement efficient and reliable automation systems.
  2. System Integration: Integrate substation automation systems with existing infrastructure to ensure seamless operation and data flow. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful integration and deployment.
  3. Configuration and Programming: Configure and program automation hardware and software, including RTUs (Remote Terminal Units), IEDs (Intelligent Electronic Devices), and PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers). Ensure that all configurations and programming meet industry standards and client specifications.
  4. Testing and Validation: Perform thorough testing and validation of automation systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and client specifications. Identify and resolve any issues or defects in a timely and efficient manner.
  5. Maintenance and Support: Provide ongoing support and maintenance for automation systems, troubleshooting and resolving issues to ensure optimal performance. Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
  6. Documentation: Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of system designs, configurations, and operational procedures. Ensure that all documentation is accurate, complete, and up-to-date.
  7. Collaboration: Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and clients to ensure successful project delivery and alignment with client requirements. Communicate effectively and provide regular updates on project progress and status.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field. Relevant industry certifications and experience are highly desirable.
